Our Wedding

Everyone asks the same question: How did we meet? It was pure chance. We talked for about a year over Snapchat and the phone without meeting in person—an hour apart kept us virtual. In July 2020 Ryan picked up our first son, Moose (a dog), and since he was headed my way we finally met. Both us boys took to Brooke immediately, and though it felt promising, we kept taking things at our own pace. Through the rest of 2020 we met at different restaurants on weekends, becoming devoted food explorers—still one of our favorite shared things. After two years of being “just friends,” we introduced each other to family—Brooke’s family trip to Mexico was Ryan’s trial by fire, and he handled it like a champ, bonding with the kids and winning everyone over. Over the next few years many more weekends, trips, family gatherings and memories made followed until Ryan’s mom introduced Brooke as his girlfriend to the entire family at his grandma’s birthday—thanks, Mom, for making official what we already knew! A year and a Disney World trip later, Ryan asked Brooke’s dad for her hand, and by Thanksgiving at a Bear Lake cabin surrounded by family - we were engaged. Six years in, we’ve grown so much individually and as a couple, we trusted the process (as Brooke's clever nephew once said) and wouldn't change a thing about our journey to getting here. Together by chance. Forever by choice. We are so excited to celebrate our Union with you all in May 2027.

We know almost everyone enjoys dressing up for weddings so feel free but most importantly, dress comfortably! Our celebration will be held both inside &amp; out, so please keep that in mind when choosing shoes and consider bringing a light layer for the evening. We share the wedding colors below, for those who wonder and enjoy color coordinating but it is certainly not required!
